I have been investigating the intersection of consumer culture with nature and how we humans who are consumers of the Earth that is our host, affect that host, both positively and negatively. I explore this concept using printmaking, drawing and sculpture, and sometimes sound and video. In my sculpture I am especially curious about how we turn to artificial nature as a way to control an otherwise messy, vulnerable primary experience.
